Gratitude Changes Everything

I have a special memory tucked away. I used to work for a wonderful couple in their acupuncture, manual therapy, and herb clinic. They were so incredibly patient with me. They taught me through their work.... but mostly through simple, everyday conversation. They played a pivotal role in Gods plan of revealing my calling in this life. These two were so conscious in their living. Ahh, my love for this season and these people is so immense that I could easily get carried away...so.. back to my special memory...

I was measuring out herbs to prepare a tincture and one of my employers and I were conversing. (I will never forget our conversations. He was always so slow to speak and intentional, and she was always a ray of genuine light, love, laughter, and joy!) But on this day, as I measured out the herbs and he worked at the front desk, preparing for his next client.. he spoke these words...

"Gratitude changes everything."

And those words have been framed and hung centrally on the wall of my thoughts for some time now... and they especially ring true in this time of my life. Gratitude changes everything.

I am so grateful. I am so grateful. I weep as I meditate on this memory. Each moment of our life is so full. We must simply be awake and present to notice them.
